Taylor Swift in a Classic 50's Swimsuit

If you have popped into the shop on a Saturday then chances are you have met Momma Deadly. Well she is not just our Saturday girl, she works non-stop the rest of the week too!

This week she spotted Taylor Swift (although when she told me about it, she was sure it was Alicia Keys...) in a Classic 50's Swimsuit in black and white polka dots. These wonderful swimsuits have been designed by Esther Williams and are fantastic on just about everyone. 


We are going to be honest and admit we have no idea who Taylor Swift actually is, but we do think she looks effortlessly glamorous in her swimming costume!

Get a virtual tour of the Deadly is the Female boutique on You Tube

Today we have uploaded a tour of the shop on YouTube!


We have learnt that we are not naturals at filming (especially when walking a the same time) and that it should have been filmed landscape - but other than that, you get a tour of our Faux Vintage Boutique and you get to see some of our fabulous 50's style dresses by Pinup Couture, Trashy Diva, Stop Staring! and Bernie Dexter as well of meeting Cedric the Deer and the 2 girls who keep me company, Peggy & Grace!

Is Mad Men's Christina Hendricks wearing a Jenny dress?

We spotted these snaps of Mad Men's Joan (Christina Hendricks) wearing a dress a lot like the Jenny Dress.


We love her casual style with a hint of vintage and the warm Bordeaux dress with her fiery hair. The tan leather bag is the perfect accessory too.



On closer inspection this almost certainly isn't our 1940's style Jenny Dress but it oh so close!

Could the Mirabel Top be the perfect pin up top?

These fantastic tops sold out in a week last time so we have lots back in stock in sizes S-3XL! 


As you can see, these tops look great on everyone and are an easy (& comfortable!) way to get the pin up look without spending a fortune.


These photo's show the dress with different skirts, but we love it just as much dressed down with high waisted 50's style jeans.


And you can wear a bra with straps with it - if they are black they just look like part of the top and the high back hides the rest!
